“Reflexology can be of great support to women throughout pregnancy and can help promote general well-being”.
A helping hand from conception to birth. Soothing, deeply relaxing, my Reflexology Plus sessions promote body-mind calm! Reducing stress builds physiological equilibrium, leading to better hormonal balance – this can be immensely supportive during the stresses and strains of fertility treatment and as hormone, energy and emotional levels fluctuate during the course of pregnancy. Regular sessions are nurturing, promote wellness and may help relieve aches, pains and swelling associated with pregnancy. You get the chance to put your feet up, relax, realign your emotions with your feelings and your feelings with your body and enjoy a therapeutic resonance with your baby as you rest and replenish.
My aim is to progressively support your physical and emotional well-being as you and your baby journey together.
“When I was pregnant my reflexology treatments with Louise were the highlight of my month. The sessions were based on how I felt at that particular time. If I was exhausted the treatment would leave me feeling energized or if I was stressed I would feel very relaxed and content. Louise is very intuitive with heaps of knowledge and experience that she applies in each session. Louise is amazing she knows how to make you and Bump feel great”. Wendy Mc.
“Reflexology aims to optimize the physical and emotional health of pregnant women through working on specific reflexology points, usually on the feet but sometimes on the hands, face and ears”.
How I can help: No pregnancies are the same! Louise has the benefit of over 20 years’ client experience to share with you. My treatments bring a fusion of different global insights to enhance and amplify main-stream reflexology; some are specially designed to suit different stages of fertility focus and pregnancy care.
Targeting for wellness, fertility focus and pregnancy care: Meridians form a sustaining and dynamic energy system all over the body. Maintaining their efficient nourishing flow is especially beneficial for Mother and baby during the demands of pregnancy. Building further support for the body’s systems, Louise’s reflexology also blends in specific conception and pregnancy modalities from Danish and Nordic traditions where reflexology is extensively used in fertility clinics and for maternity care.
“Second and third trimesters: although most of the discomforts of early pregnancy have gone, as baby grows you may begin to experience other natural physical symptoms and your stress levels may also rise as the birth becomes more imminent”.
“Thank you Louise for all my reflexology sessions. So far-they have been invaluable: refreshing, wonderfully relaxing, with someone who does it so skillfully and with such care. I am 33 weeks pregnant and I find my reflexology sessions a great way to physically, mentally and emotionally balance and rejuvenate me. Not only are they blissfully relaxing and soothing but they relieve my symptoms of bloating, heartburn and swelling in feet and hands. I definitely always notice the difference and significant improvement with the puffiness and swelling of my feet that carries for days after my sessions. Reflexology also aids my fatigue and leaves me with a great sense of well-being! I just love my sessions with you”. Justyna P.
Looking after Mother and baby: when you look after one aspect of yourself, you nurture another! Louise believes a soothing ‘follow the wisdom of the body’ approach is helpful. However the style and pace she uses are modified as pregnancy continues; especially so during the ‘let’s get on with it’ late stage where specific acupressure techniques and Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem applications are utilised to ‘power- up’ pre labour.
“Preparation for labour: As your due date approaches you may find it useful to visit a reflexologist more frequently and to promote relaxation at a time when anxiety levels are often high”.
“I went to see Louise in both of my pregnancies with the aim of inducing labour naturally at 40 weeks. Both times the treatment was lovely and relaxing and was successful in gently starting labour within 24 hours! So great for anyone wanting to avoiding induction as well as wanting to have a relax!” Emma H
Welcome to the world! Although there is no evidence that reflexology induces labour, the general view is that it helps support the body to prepare for the process. With this in mind, you might find my blog ‘It’s a Boy‘ a useful over-view for the various pre-labour treatment disciplines I use.
Reflexology supporting you, your body and your baby. It is a privilege and a joy for me to share the journey with you. Thank you so much to my lovely Mums who’ve provided these testimonials.
